Rujm el Hiri (Israel)

Definition: The archaeological site of Rujm el Hiri, Israel is a curious Chalcolithic or Early Bronze age structure which researchers Yonathon Mizrachi and Anthony Aveni believe is an astronomical observatory. The building is made up of five concentric rings with a later Bronze Age cairn and burial in its center.
