Asko Parpola

Definition: Finnish scholar Asko Parpola is professor of Indology at the Department of Asian and African Studies at the University of Helsinki, and a world-famous expert on the written language of the Indus Valley. He has spent over thirty years deciphering the Indus Script, and is one of the foremost critics of the so-called Vedic Invasion Theory.
